Jorjin × Asia University: AR Wound Care
Jorjin and Asia University join forces to develop and validate an AR smart care system for chronic wounds.
Taichung — June 25, 2026

At Asia University's seminar "ChatGPT, Smart Healthcare, and the Metaverse: Trends and Challenges" on June 25, Jorjin Chairman Liang Wen-Lung joined experts and scholars for an in-depth discussion. He noted that technological progress is driven by three forces together: computing, the internet, and the human-computer interface. Just as mobile devices transformed the last generation, AI smart glasses will become a key platform for the next.
Jorjin has long focused on AR/MR glasses R&D and has built a complete ecosystem of hardware modules, SDKs, sensing technology, and application platforms, making it easier for developers, enterprises, and healthcare professionals to adopt smart applications.
This collaboration brings together the strengths of Jorjin and Asia University, focusing on the development and clinical validation of an AR Smart Care Empowerment System for Chronic Wounds.
Three Project Highlights
- Cross-border, cross-disciplinary collaboration: The project combines Jorjin's smart glasses technology with the clinical expertise of Asia University's College of Nursing, working together with partners in Germany.
- Four core functions: Planned functions include 3D visual assessment of chronic wounds, AR-assisted wound care, mapping management, and automated documentation, greatly improving nurses' care efficiency and decision accuracy.
- Transforming nursing education: Professor Hua-Shan Wu, Dean of the College of Nursing at Asia University, shared that smart glasses let students complete hands-on practice with both hands free, while teachers can follow remotely in real time and analyze students' learning progress through video.
From early bulky devices to today's lightweight, human-centered products, Jorjin will continue to empower clinical care and nursing education with technology, creating new possibilities for smart healthcare.
