Soochow University Opens XR Classroom
Soochow University and Jorjin open an XR classroom that turns immersive technology into a tool for cross-disciplinary creation.
September 16, 2026

Soochow University has partnered with Jorjin Technologies to create its Physical-Digital Integrated Learning Classroom (XR Classroom). Combining AI, XR, generative AI, and immersive interaction, the classroom takes learning beyond classroom knowledge into interdisciplinary creation and hands-on application.
The new XR Classroom features four-sided panoramic wall projection linked with floor projection, and can integrate VR, virtual characters, and voice interaction to create a highly immersive learning environment. Students go beyond simply learning AI and understanding XR: they identify problems in literature, history, law, business, and social needs, and use technology to turn creative ideas into results they can build and validate.
Looking ahead, the classroom will connect colleges across the university for interdisciplinary teamwork, prototype development, and user experience validation, extending into cultural and creative industries, tourism, business, law, and more.
Through this industry-academia collaboration, technology becomes a tool for putting creativity into practice, nurturing a new generation with AI literacy and interdisciplinary practical skills.
